DAY TO DAY:

The role involves managing construction layout projects from initial setup to final closeout, primarily focusing on new construction. This includes projects such as 300ft ground tunnels, skyscrapers up to 300ft in the air, and tunnel alignment. Responsibilities include planning and developing project scope, procedures, and budget, reviewing contracts, ensuring contractual commitments are met, and maintaining client relationships. The position also involves quality control, monitoring fees and budgets, addressing health and safety concerns, scheduling field jobs, preparing cost estimates and proposals, and coordinating surveying work with various departments. Additionally, the role requires reviewing and approving time sheets and expense reports, generating continuous workload through client relationships and new client development, and performing other assigned duties. Understanding of New Construction, warehouse construction, sidewalks, curbs and parking lots, etc.. is essential. It also requires little to no travel but occasionally visiting Job Sites to ensure crews are meeting standards.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Construction or engineering related field

Surveying License - professional surveyors, PLS, PS, professional land survey 2+ years Management/Project Management experience

Surveying experience

Knowledge and some use of Leica scanners, Trimbles (S series or GPS), total stations, and or Rigel scanners

Proficient with AutoCAD or Civil3D

Having great general knowledge construction Surveying null
