Intermediate Designer/Architect

1\) assisting other team members in all project phases and ensuring project goals are met; (2) mentoring and training junior designers and interns; (3) reviewing projects with Project Team, Directors, and Principals; (4) developing and executing architectural, interior, or product design through all project phases; (5) collaborating in the development of concept design through image selection, planning, sketching, and rendering; (6) reviewing with team members concept design through planning or space planning, furniture plans, elevational studies, models, sketching and renderings, define palette, materials, finish selections, acquiring and coordinating samples from vendors; (7) refining the approved design language into buildable drawings including exterior and interior architecture and any custom FF&E pieces; (8) creating specifications for FF&E, hardware, plumbing, and architectural finishes; (9) coordinating with project consultants on lighting, MEP, structural, IT, kitchen consultants, etc.; (10) developing a complete drawing package, rendering from the first stage of a project and revising them asnecessary through completion of the project; (11) undertaking site visits and inspections to ensure tasks are being completed in a timely manner and in accordance with plans; (12) assisting Project Manager with client, consultant, vendor, and contractor correspondence; (13) collaborating in the development of concept design through image selection, planning, sketching, and rendering; and (14) creating and maintaining project logs and product binders to ensure project goals are met. Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Architecture; 36 months exp. in Architecture; and must be capable of using a variety of mediums such as AutoCAD, Rhino, REVIT, 3Ds MAX, V-Ray, and Adobe Creative Suite. Monthly travel to project sites across the U.S. required to evaluate job progress, create punch lists, and oversee installation.
