Lead Carpenter

Dream Decks and Remodeling is a well-established and reputable company specializing in composite and wood deck building, replacement, and repair, as well as selected remodeling projects throughout Central Oregon. We are dedicated to delivering exceptional craftsmanship and customer service. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to join our team and help guide our crew to success.

Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of 3-4 carpenters in the construction, repair, and replacement of wood and composite decks, as well as other remodeling projects.
- Provide mentorship and training to apprentices, ensuring high standards of workmanship and safety.
- Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and project plans to guide the crew in executing accurate and efficient construction.
- Calculate and install stairs, rafters, and other framing components as needed for deck and remodeling projects.
- Maintain a positive and productive work environment, ensuring high team morale and job satisfaction.
- Manage time effectively to meet project deadlines and stay on budget.
- Maintain a basic set of tools and bags, ensuring that all equipment is in working condition.
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, building codes, and regulations.

Qualifications:
- At least 7 years of experience as a carpenter, with extensive experience in framing and deck building.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and other project documents.
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to mentor and train apprentices.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Strong math skills, including the ability to calculate stairs, rafters, and other framing components.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

- Competitive pay of $30$40 per hour, with a wage review after 90 days.
