Job Description
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to join our team, specializing in plumbing, heating, air-conditioning, ductwork, and sprinkler installations for both residential and commercial clients. This role requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in managing HVAC projects, with strong experince in residential and commercial installations. You will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project execution, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality.
Responsibilities
- Develop detailed project plans, including timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
- Oversee the execution of HVAC projects from start to finish.
- Lead and manage a team of HVAC technicians and subcontractors, providing guidance, support, and training.
- Maintain strong relationships with clients, addressing their needs and concerns promptly.
- Monitor project progress and conduct regular inspections for compliance with industry standards and company policies.
- Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effective solutions.
- Ensure all projects comply with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct site visits to assess project progress and address any issues.
- Coordinate with suppliers and vendors for timely delivery of materials and equipment.
- Review and approve project designs and plans.
- Schedule and conduct team meetings to discuss project updates and resolve challenges.
- Prepare and submit project documentation, including permits and compliance reports.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for HVAC systems.
- Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations on all job sites.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC project management.
- Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, including heating, air-conditioning, and ductwork.
- Proven track record of successfully managing residential and commercial HVAC projects.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
- Valid HVAC certification and relevant licenses.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in project management, RFI, HVAC, construction, plumbing, change orders, budgeting, and construction management.
- Experience with installation, HVAC installation, estimation, retrofit, HVAC mechanical, and Procore.
- Proficiency with Excel, Word, Bluebeam, Procore, Timberline, and CAD.
- OSHA 30 certification (assistance available if needed).
- Experience in project management for mechanical/HVAC/plumbing.
- Ground-up or retrofit experience.
- Experience with budgeting, scheduling, RFIs, submittals, take-offs, buyouts, electrical, and PMP certification.
- Experience with HVAC sheet metal and electrical trade.
Work Environment
Work hours are from 7am to 4pm, with projects located in Hartford, Fairfield, and Litchfield Counties. The role involves attending jobsite meetings, materials purchasing, and overseeing the scope of work. Responsibilities include scheduling, RFIs, submittals, and take-offs. The position requires involvement with budgeting to ensure projects are under budget and ahead of schedule. The work environment includes HVAC, plumbing, and piping installation in commercial buildings. Dress code requires adherence to safety protocols.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $150000.00/yr.
