BGS Maintenance Mechanic II

Overview

The Department of Buildings and General Services (BGS) is hiring a BGS Maintenance Mechanic II to join the Operations and Maintenance team at the Waterbury State Office Complex. This is a full-time opportunity with room for growth in a dynamic, inclusive environment that supports collaboration across trades.

In this role, you'll be responsible for a variety of routine building maintenance tasks and contribute to the smooth operation of a large, mission-driven facility. You'll work Monday through Friday from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional overtime opportunities. A valid driver's license is required, along with the successful completion of several background checks.

As part of the largest division within BGS, you'll play a key role in keeping state operations running efficiently.

Starting pay may be negotiable based on your experience and education.
