Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

This position is part of the Engineering Flight of the 72d Civil Engineer Directorate at Tinker Air Force Base, Oklahoma. As an electrical engineer subject matter expert, you will be responsible for planning, developing, designing, and coordinating a broad range of electrical engineering activities, focusing primarily on energy savings performance contracts (ESPCs) which enable federal agencies to achieve energy savings and facility improvements without upfront capital costs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage in cradle-to-grave project management alongside RAs, engineers, and construction inspectors.
  • Process submittals and RFIs to reduce delay times in construction projects.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure project completion and compliance with requirements.

Essential Skills

  • Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BS EE) from an ABET accredited institution.
  • Experience in electrical design using AutoCAD.
  • Proficiency in commercial construction and electrical engineering.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Engineer in Training (EIT) certification.
  • Experience with multiple project designs.
  • Personality traits: coachable, follows instructions well, leadership qualities, reliable.

Work Environment

The position involves re-commissioning buildings at Tinker Air Force Base, working directly with government personnel. You will spend approximately 70% of your time in the office and 30% in meetings. The role offers visibility on major projects and includes 80 hours of PTO and 11 holidays.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $31.25 - $38.46/hr.
