Tradesmen International is immediately hiring experienced First Class Pipefitters for projects located in Newport News, VA . This is a first shift opportunity with a pay range of up to $29.50/hour based on experience plus $140/Per Diem to Travelers 60+ miles from the job site. Job Scope:

  • Fitting Carbon Steel CRES and Copper Nickel Piping
  • End Prep Piping by Hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
  • Installing Pipe Hangers
  • Prep and Fitup Backing Rings
  • Clean Cut/Break Pipe with Grinder
  • Hand Prep V Bevels
  • Fabrication of various details & assemblies from drawings
  • Bend pipe from template & in the use of hand bender
  • Fit welded sockets
  • Fit brazed joints with/without insert ring

Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3 Years as a Marine Commercial Nuclear or Petro/Chem First Class Pipefitter
    • Ability to Read and Interpret Ship Piping Drawings
    • Ability to end prep piping by hand and/or with Wach or Portsmouth Machine
    • Ability to read a ruler using inches and tenths
    • Experience in Fabrication of Various Details an Assemblies from Drawings
