Summary: Celularity is seeking a Maintenance Mechanic for the Maintenance Group located in Florham Park, NJ. The Maintenance Mechanics technical responsibilities include operations & maintenance and repair of various facilities systems and equipment. The Maintenance Mechanic position is responsible for performing highly diversified duties to install, troubleshoot, repair and maintain production and facility equipment. The position of Maintenance Mechanic provides first response technical support for maximizing equipment uptime, troubleshooting equipment failures while analyzing performance and suggesting design improvements to improve the reliability of our assets.

Requirements
  • Troubleshoot, repair, maintain, and improve mechanical equipment and components
  • Maintain boilers, compressors, vacuum pumps, HVAC systems, humidifiers, etc.
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical equipment
  • Perform Preventive, Predictive, and Emergency Maintenance
  • Follow the maintenance work management process, which includes utilizing the maintenance management software to identify equipment problems, obtain parts, document findings, track personal labor hours and material on jobs, capture repair history, etc.
  • Calibrate/repair process control instrumentation and sensors
  • Troubleshoot and solve complex electrical systems
  • Troubleshoot and repair low voltage electrical equipment
  • Support after-hours response to all emergencies and takes appropriate action to identify problems and take corrective actions. Calls on vendors for assistance and or utilizes emergency call list when necessary.
  • Will maintain all engineering/electrical spaces in a clean and neat manner at all times.
  • Review executed work orders, logs, forms and related documentation on a daily basis to help ensure they are complete, current, and reflect the tasks as performed, and are appropriately filed in.
  • Provides input to the planning of equipment system maintenance to minimize service interruptions and equipment downtime through reliability centered maintenance practices.
  • Executing a wide variety of maintenance and repair work in relation to the installation, maintenance, and repairs of lab system gas tubing/piping, pumps, HVAC equipment, and building equipment and infrastructure in general.
  • Maintain a safe and organized work environment adhering to all relevant safety and environmental compliance requirements.

This position will require:

  • Weekend work
  • Working overtime
  • Working on holidays as needed

PHYSICAL WORK ABILITIES AND REQUIREMENTS

  • This position requires frequent walking, climbing, bending, kneeling, lifting, stooping, and working/extending overhead, including:
  • Frequent physical demands including lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Using ladders up to 20 ft and working from heights.
  • Climbing a ladder and work from lift
  • Must pass background, drug/alcohol screening.
Salary Description $70,000 - $80,000 commensurate with experience
