Line Operator Position, Purpose and Objectives
Poptime Snack Brands is a growing, fast-paced snack food manufacturer based in Clifton, NJ. We are currently seeking a motivated and skilled Maintenance Mechanic to join our production team. This is a hands-on role responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing popcorn manufacturing and packaging machinery, as well as other critical production support equipment.
The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills, a proactive mindset, and the ability to work collaboratively across departments to support continuous production uptime and operational efficiency. This position plays a key role within our production and facility operations.

Key Responsibilities
Maintain and troubleshoot popcorn production and packaging machinery
Perform emergency repairs and respond to equipment breakdowns
Conduct and document routine preventative maintenance
Fabricate or modify mechanical parts as needed
Design and install equipment improvements to increase efficiency and reduce downtime
Utilize knowledge of industrial electrical and plumbing systems for troubleshooting and repairs
Communicate effectively with production, quality, and operations teams to resolve issues and support scheduling

Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years of hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing or food production environment
Strong mechanical aptitude with ability to diagnose mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic issues
Working knowledge of industrial electrical systems, including 3-phase power
Familiarity with plumbing, welding, fabrication, and general facilities maintenance
Proven ability to work independently and prioritize in a fast-paced environment
Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety
