Role Summary/Purpose:
The Facilities Electrical Engineer will support the site operations of GE Research.
Develop electrical design drawings using AutoCad
Generate electrical equipment material lists for procurement
Work with Project Managers, Researchers and other staff disciplines
Provide direction to Electricians, Technicians and other trade labor
Perform field work to validate construction drawings with as-built conditions
Participate in developing on-site facility electrical requirements
Maintain/Update plant electrical single line diagrams
Manage multiple activities simultaneously
Utilize NFPA, New York State Building Code and OSHA regulations
Qualifications/Requirements
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college
Minimum 4 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
US Citizenship is required
Must be willing to work out of an office located in Niskayuna, NY
Must be 18 years or older

10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering Design
Experience in Facility Engineering
VFD experience
Strong oral and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills
Strong project and team leadership
Experience interacting with a union workforce
The base pay range for this position is 80,000 - 150,000 USD Annually. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors, including the candidate's experience, education, and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary. This posting is expected to close on September 15, 2025
