Maintenance Mechanic**
**Job Description**
We are seeking dedicated Maintenance Mechanics for first shift, 12-hour schedules, to maintain and repair production lines and ensure the overall upkeep of the building in a food manufacturing environment.
**Responsibilities**
+ Complete daily jobs and work orders efficiently.
+ Collaborate with maintenance staff to optimize work practices and procedures.
+ Perform maintenance and repairs on equipment, and troubleshoot, maintain, and install mechanical and electrical systems.
+ Prepare for tasks by acquiring necessary parts.
+ Communicate effectively with departments, vendors, subcontractors, and management about any issues impacting production efficiency.
+ Document all repairs and complete necessary paperwork.
+ Identify and implement opportunities for process improvements.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficiency in machine maintenance, preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair.
+ Strong understanding of electrical and mechanical systems.
+ Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, carpentry, facility maintenance, and reading blueprints.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of industrial maintenance experience, or less if possessing direct experience in a food/beverage maintenance environment.
+ Familiarity with specific equipment (nice to have).

Work in a milk plant, a highly regulated food manufacturing environment where maintaining high food quality standards is essential. The facility is very sanitary, with all production staff required to wear hairnets and gowns. The schedule is 6am-6pm or 6pm-6am (first or third shift) following a 2-2-3 pattern. Mechanics are divided into two shifts at night; Shift A works every Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and every other Saturday, while Shift B works every Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, and every other Saturday.

This is a Permanent position based out of Saint Paul, Minnesota.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $71000.00/yr.
rotating shift, but has built in OT every other week. They work 36 hours one week, 48 hours another week and so on. With that in mind, if someone is making $33/hr they are actually making $36.30 on the year if it is averaged out.
They also will get to spend 78 extra days off from the schedule. That is 78 extra days to spend time with their families, not including PTO and holiday pay as well!
