SUMMARY:

Employee performs skilled work in the installation, repair and maintenance of control systems of heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HV AC).

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains, repairs service and troubleshoot all aspects of the HVAC facilities systems.
  • Install new unit or replacement parts for existing units.
  • Maintains inventory of supplies, tools, and replacement items and assigned duties by Facilities Maintenance Supervisor.
  • Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.
  • Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals; performs a variety of complicated tasks.
  • A wide degree of creativity and latitude is expected.
  • Monitor and diagnose HVAC systems and equipment using computerized building automation system. Make adjustments to the building automation system to ensure guest comfort and efficient operation of mechanical equipment.
  • Perform HVAC preventive maintenance, including inspections, adjustments, replacement of filters, cleaning of coils, and lubrication of units.
  • Order, receive, stock, and maintain the HVAC parts inventory. Maintain safe, clean, and organized work environments and storage areas.
  • Respond to emergency calls after-hours for HVAC systems on a rotating on call schedule.
  • Provide assistance to other facilities technicians with servicing and repair of all ice makers, walk-in coolers, freezers, refrigerators, and other related equipment.
  • Maintain mechanical areas in a clean, safe, and organized condition.
  • Complies with Federal, State and Tribal laws.
  • Works in a safe manner; complies with company and OSHA safety regulations.
  • All other duties as assigned (non-gaming functions and issued gaming license permitting).

  • Knowledge of operation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/refrigeration equipment.
  • Skill in operation, installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC/refrigeration equipment.
  • Skill in estimating time and materials.
  • Skill in both verbal and written communication.
  • Office skills must include the ability to use standard office equipment and basic computer knowledge. Experience with building automation systems.
  • The ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
  • The ability to maintain discretion in handling confidential information.
  • The ability to interact with guests and team members professionally.
  • The ability to work irregular hours and extended shifts including late nights, early mornings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, shifts or days as determined by business demands.
Qualifications

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS :

High School Diploma or GED required. Five years of HVAC experience along with formal technical training or completion of an apprenticeship in HVAC and Refrigeration trades. Experience with HVAC devices such as variable air volume boxes, air and water cooled chillers and related systems; or, any equivalent combination of experience and/or education from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities have been achieved. Current driver's license upon employment.

Team member is required to talk, hear, stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and move freely throughout the office and property for duration of scheduled shift. The team member is frequently required to use hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls, and reach with hands and arms. The team member must be able to operate a personal computer. The team member will be required to lift, carry, push, pull, or move objects up to 50 pounds on a regular basis and up to 100 pounds occasionally with assistance. Team member must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) while performing job duties. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.

WORK ENVIRONMENT :

This position regularly works indoors but may work outdoors in cold and/or extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is generally quiet to moderate and may become excessively noisy at times. Will have contact with employees, external agencies and the public. The employee is occasionally exposed to fumes or airborne practices, including second-hand environmental smoke. The noise level in the work environment varies from light to moderate.
