CTG's long-standing Fortune 500 client of over 15 years has a W2 contract assignment for a Mechanical Engineer IV. Type: Contract Job Title: Mechanical Engineer IV Location: Corning, NY Candidates must be able to commute and work onsite in Corning, NY Pay Rate: Based on experience Work Hours: M-F 8am-5pm, may require working weekends/holidays or longer days to support schedule Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field Description The Mechanical Engineer IV will serve as a senior mechanical design engineer, responsible for delivering detailed mechanical designs for precision motion systems and custom precision tooling/fixtures. This role involves managing the entire lifecycle of equipment design, build, and debug, including vendor interaction. The engineer will provide hands-on support during installation, start-up, and troubleshooting of fiber/connector manufacturing process equipment. This position involves applying mechanical principles such as mechanics, hydraulics, thermodynamics, metallurgy, and machine design to support the development and operation of various types of machinery.
