Job Title: Electrical Foreman
Job Description
The Electrical Foreman supports the on-site execution of utility-scale solar or battery energy storage (BESS) projects by coordinating daily field activities under the direction of the Superintendent. This role ensures that electrical work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with project plans and quality standards. Responsibilities include overseeing crew tasks, assisting with material and equipment readiness, and maintaining clear communication with site leadership. Travel to project sites across the U.S. is required.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the installation of electrical systems including underground cabling, mod-to-mod wiring, and DC collection systems, ensuring work meets quality and safety standards.
- Interpret construction drawings and submittals, and communicate field issues or discrepancies to site leadership for resolution.
- Coordinate daily tasks and crew assignments based on project schedules and direction from the Superintendent or Project Manager.
- Monitor crew performance and productivity, ensuring adherence to safety protocols, quality expectations, and project timelines.
- Support material handling, equipment readiness, and site logistics to keep work progressing efficiently.
- Collaborate with other trades and subcontractors on-site to ensure smooth workflow and minimize delays.
- Provide on-the-job training and guidance to crew members, promoting a safe and productive team environment.
- Participate in daily meetings and toolbox talks, reporting progress and raising any concerns to site leadership.
Essential Skills
- Minimum of 3-5 years of hands-on electrical experience in utility-scale solar or BESS projects, with at least 1-2 years in a lead or foreman role.
- Proficient in installing and troubleshooting DC systems, underground cabling, and medium voltage components.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, site plans, and installation specifications.
- Familiarity with trenching, duct banks, pad-mounted transformers, and SCADA systems used in solar installations.
- Strong understanding of safety protocols and quality standards in solar construction.
- Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed

Work Environment
This role is performed in a field environment and requires travel throughout the Southeastern and Mid-Atlantic regions supporting green energy projects. Physical labor may be required, including sitting, standing, bending, twisting, and lifting up to 25 pounds.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $50.00 - $80.00/hr.
