Gradall Operator
JOB DESCRIPTION

Summary:
The Gradall Operator is responsible for excavating, moving, and grading dirt while safely operating equipment.
Duties and Responsibilities: Able to properly utilize equipment to accomplish tasks involving grade, slope, yield, etc. as needed, Able to safely maneuver machinery in tight quarters, around people, traffic and utilities, Adjusts hand levers and depresses pedals to operate equipment and control attachments such as blades, buckets, and swing booms, Performs equipment maintenance duties such as cleaning, greasing and oiling machines, Understand construction blueprints and fine grade work, Excavate, lift, and move materials with precision and efficiency, Fine grade ditches, sidewalks, curb & gutter, and other tight construction areas, Complete minor repairs, if necessary, Must wear proper attire at all times including PPE: safety vests, safety glasses when appropriate, long pants, hard sole/close-toed shoes, and reflect a clean and presentable image, May be required to work extended hours including evenings, nights, and weekends, Additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements: Three to five years plus experience operating heavy equipment, including Gradall. Must possess a Class A CDL with proper endorsements, Must have physical strength to operate heavy and power-driven equipment, Manage emergency situations, work pressure and stress, Ability to complete work projects on time and in an effective manner, Able to read and understand grade stakes, automated machine control cab displays, etc., High school diploma or GED desired, Must be able to successfully pass a background and drug screening
Working Conditions:
This job requires the ability to lift, pull, and push a minimum of 50 lbs.,
Bending, stooping, kneeling, squatting, twisting, and climb heavy equipment several times throughout the day,
In addition, you must have the ability to use your hands, arms, and legs repeatedly on the job,
This includes walking on sloped ground, slippery and uneven surfaces,
This job requires the ability to sit for extended periods of time.
This job requires the ability to see, whether naturally or with vision correction tools (glasses, contacts),
Must have physical strength to operate heavy and power-driven equipment,
Performing strenuous work in varying temperatures, humidity, wind, or other extreme inclement weather conditions for extended periods of time,
Exposure to extremely hot materials, fuel, fumes, vapors, dust, grease and oils, as well as loud and/or constant noise and exposure to heavy equipment.
Note: This position is considered Safety-Sensitive, and therefore subject to various schedule and unscheduled screenings for controlled substances.
