Forklift Operator 3.1 3.1 out of 5 stars 1717 N Sanborn Blvd, Mitchell, SD 57301 Position Summary: To understand, obey and enforce all Muth Electric safety policies; to safely and efficiently operate forklifts to move materials and products within a warehouse. A Forklift Driver is responsible for moving goods, loaded pallets and equipment safely and securely. In addition to driving forklifts, a Forklift Driver also has a range of other warehouse duties such as packaging shipments or checking inventories. A Forklift Driver's primary duties and responsibilities include: Maneuvering forklifts safely in a busy environment Safely stacking and unstacking large quantities of materials onto shelves or pallets Moving materials from storage areas to loading areas for transport Unloading deliveries and safely relocating the materials to their designated storage areas Ensuring that forklift driving areas are free from spills or obstructions Regularly checking forklift equipment for faults or damages Using industrial plastic wraps and wooden pallets to safely stack and package materials for transport Keeping up to date on health and safety requirements and forklift operating procedures Consolidating partial pallets for incoming goods Completing Inventory/cycle counts and updating in Remarcable. Maintains good housekeeping practices in his/her area. Meets or exceeds all current Lean Construction standards as approved by the Muth Electric Corporate office and by his/her supervisor.
