Maintenance Electrician**
**Job Description**
Join a global leader in wheel and tire assembly manufacturing as a Maintenance Electrician. This role involves installing, altering, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems, equipment, and fixtures. You will lead and direct a team of 2-5 Electricians, working independently or under the general supervision of the Maintenance Supervisor and/or Engineering Manager. This position demands independent judgment and maintaining confidentiality.
**Responsibilities**
+ Logically engineer, design, draw schematics, troubleshoot, and repair electrical/electronic equipment efficiently.
+ Lead and direct the work of 2-5 electricians.
+ Perform work independently or under general supervision.
+ Maintain highest standards of excellence for safety, housekeeping, and quality.
+ Ensure compliance with all codes and regulations.
**Essential Skills**
+ Proficient knowledge of electronic and PLC technology and programming.
+ Familiarity with electrical theory, NEC codes, and OSHA standards.
+ Ability to locate, analyze, and correct power failures, short circuits, and electrical-related problems.
+ Minimum of 3 years experience in electrical systems.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ Preferred PLC troubleshooting.
+ Experience with Allen-Bradley systems.
+ Knowledge of enterprise asset management and computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).

**Work Environment**
Work on-site in Des Moines, Iowa, with availability for 1st and 3rd shifts. The facility includes machines from the 1940s and newer automated equipment, and is not temperature-controlled. Dress code includes steel-toed boots, jeans, safety glasses, and hearing protection on the production floor. During peak busy season, work up to 80 hours with weekend pay incentives.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $60000.00 - $70000.00/yr.
Medical, Dental, Vision - all good and competitive in the market; a lot of employees say there is no co pay required
