What Youll Do:
Perform and oversee residential electrical repairs and installations (fans, outlets, panels, etc.)

Inspect, consult, and certify safety on homes with older wiring, including knob and tube systems.

Mentor and supervise Journeyman Electricians with professionalism and care.

Coordinate permits, inspections, and materials with precision and accountability.

Maintain safety, compliance, and top-tier customer service in every project.

Ideal Candidate Will Have:
Master Electrician license

Deep knowledge of residential codes and electrical safety

Leadership experience or a strong desire to mentor others

Ability to troubleshoot and problem-solve on the fly

Respect for client dignity and agency values

Clear communication, accuracy with paperwork, and a can-do attitude

Physical Requirements:
Youll need to lift equipment, work in attics or crawl spaces, and move through various residential and commercial environments. Safety and cleanliness are always a priority.

Qualifications
Requirements:

Education and Experience:

Required: High school diploma or equivalent and at least 3 years of experience as an electrician or in a related field. Must hold a Master Electrician designation, including Electrical Administrator and Journeymans License. Lead-Based Paint Certification required within six months of employment. Valid drivers license and satisfactory driving record required.
Preferred: 5 years of experience in the electrical field with the required licenses.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Strong understanding of electrical codes, procedures, tools, and safety requirements.
Proficiency in installing and repairing electrical systems in residential settings, including single-family homes, multi-family dwellings, and mobile homes.
Experience with knob and tube wiring inspections and repairs.
Familiarity with weatherization theory and installation techniques.
Ability to empathize with and advocate for low-income and vulnerable populations.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a team and with diverse populations.
Skilled in the use of construction and insulation tools and equipment.
Physically capable of lifting, operating tools, and working in confined spaces and at heights.
Ability to complete paperwork clearly and legibly.
Work Environment/Physical Activities:

This position requires working in seasonal heat and cold. Must be able to safely perform physical aspects of the job including lifting up to 85 pounds, pulling, transporting, handling equipment and materials, crawling, and using step ladders. Frequently works in confined spaces, such as beneath floors and in attics and crawl spaces. May require working on rooftops and other potentially hazardous areas. May be exposed to dusty, wet, muddy, poorly ventilated and occasionally unsanitary environments. May be exposed to fumes and substances including paint, solvents, and other materials.
