Traffic Engineer

Position Traffic Engineer Atlas Technical Consultants LLC Chicago IL Duties Conduct traffic studies and analyze traffic data to determine patterns and trends; develop transportation plans and design transportation systems that improve safety and mobility including but not limited to traffic signals signal systems ITS signs and markings; develop traffic signal timing and programming plans; assist with the preparation of project budgets and schedules; coordinate with internal and external stakeholders including government agencies and community organizations; provide technical support and guidance to project teams; prepare reports specifications and designs for transportation projects; stay up to date with advances in transportationtraffic engineering and technology; conduct site visits and field investigations as needed 10 domestic travel to field sites Requirements Bachelors degree Civil Engineering plus12 months of experience with the following traffic engineering; technical or report writing; Federal Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices; Microstation Vissim HCS or Synchro Also must have a Valid drivers license Salary 81000 to 107000 per year Benefits include health dental vision life AD&D voluntary life AD&D disability benefits leaves of absence 401k paid time off paid holidays employee assistance program educational assistance program
