Job Summary:

As a Maintenance Mechanic 3 at Behr, you will play a key role in maintaining and optimizing complex equipment and systems. With advanced troubleshooting skills, you will diagnose and resolve mechanical, electrical, and process-related issues, including motor control circuits, VFDs, and PLC systems.

Your daily responsibilities will include performing both reactive repairs and proactive preventative maintenance, fabricating and modifying components, and supporting milling and filling operations. You will also maintain accurate records, promote safety, and contribute to a clean, organized, and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and resolve complex mechanical, electrical, and process issues, including motor control circuits, VFDs, and PLC systems.

  • Use shop equipment (shears, brakes, and cutting tools) to fabricate and repair components.

  • Perform routine maintenance and develop solutions to improve efficiency and prevent recurring issues.

  • Assist in milling and filling operations, ensuring smooth batch-making and filling processes.

  • Maintain accurate records, promote safety, and contribute to a clean, organized work environment.

Requirements of the Role:

  • Strong background in industrial maintenance, including plumbing, mechanical, and electrical repairs.

  • Proficient in electrical systems, mechanical repairs, welding, and fabrication.

  • Skilled in PLC systems, SAP transactions, and general PC operations.

  • Ability to operate a forklift safely (certification is not a requirement)

  • A complete high school education whether it be a High School Diploma or GED
