Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Salvagnini Panel Bender Operator to join our fabrication team. This position is responsible for the set-up, operation, and basic maintenance of Salvagnini machine to produce precision sheet metal parts in accordance with engineering drawings, quality standards, and production schedules.

Key Responsibilities:

Set-Up and Operation

• Set up, program, and operate Salvagnini panel benders (e.g., P2lean, P4Xe) in accordance with daily production schedules.

• Select proper tooling and program machine settings to meet part specifications.

• Adjust and align tooling as needed for optimal performance and accuracy.

Production & Quality

• Monitor machine operations to ensure quality and efficiency; make necessary adjustments.

• Inspect finished parts using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors.

• Ensure all parts meet quality standards and make adjustments as necessary.

Documentation

• Record production data, including quantities, part numbers, and run times.

• Maintain setup sheets and update job documentation as needed.

• Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work orders .

Maintenance and Safety

• Perform routine machine maintenance and notify supervisor of mechanical issues.

• Maintain a clean and safe work area, following all company safety protocols and PPE requirements.

Collaboration

• Communicate with supervisors, engineers, and quality control personnel to resolve production or quality issues.

• Assist with training or mentoring junior operators as needed.

Qualifications:

Experience:

• Preferred 4+ years of experience operating and setting up sheet metal forming machines.

• Lean manufacturing knowledge.

• Forklift certification.

Skills:

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints, shop drawings, and work orders.

• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of sheet metal properties .

• Familiarity with precision measuring instruments and gauges.

• Basic understanding of CNC programming and machine controls.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs , stand for extended periods, and perform repetitive tasks.

• Manual dexterity and good hand-eye coordination .
