Title : Project Coordinator Location : Chicago, IL Position: Full-Time THE POSITION The Project Coordinator is responsible for a wide range of tasks and responsibilities, including but not limited to; third party coordination, updating and maintaining third party tracker, review, summarize, organize, and disseminate due diligence reports and material, assist with construction funding procedures, and complete process improvement tasks or projects as needed. What You Can Expect to Do Project Due Diligence Coordination: Working closely with team members within the tax credit division of the company, coordinate third party vendor site visits and relevant due diligence requests. Represent company on property tours during diligence period. Communicate with brokers and sellers in relation to due diligence. Monitor third party report deliveries and maintain database of due diligence material. Liaise with internal construction, operations, asset management, insurance, and accounting departments. Construction Funding Process: Track capital expenditures and life of construction projects as it pertains to lender and investor funding requirements. Use Excel and other platforms to maintain records and reconcile sources & uses information required by lenders and investors. Manage requests for documentation and coordinate with all parties involved in the funding process. What You Should Have Excellent verbal and written communication, organizational, presentation and analytical skills Ability to take ownership and commitment to follow through Ability to effectively prioritize and handle multiple tasks under pressure Strong work ethic and attention to detail Desire to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment 0-5 years of relevant work experience in real estate, affordable housing, or related field Bachelor's Degree - Real Estate, Accounting, or Business Concentration Previous accounting experience a plus Working proficiency in Microsoft Office programs such as Excel, Word, and PowerPoint What You Should Be Resourceful with strong problem-solving, investigating, and critical judgment skills Proficiency in the Office Suite and basic Adobe software is required Proactive with a strong work ethic and attention to detail Independent, self-starter mentality, with exceptional communication and organizational skills. Ambitious with desire to grow. Highly accountable: able to take ownership, meet deadlines, follow-through. Highly motivated self-starter and independent worker. Able to perform in a fast-paced environment with multiple projects and deadlines. Open to learn from mistakes and challenges. Outstanding in written and oral communications skills.
