Install Electrical or Electronic Wiring, Equipment, and Fixtures including:
- Motors
- Drives
- Transformers
- Starters Relays
- Switches
- Breakers
- Conduit
- Protection Devices
Build Control Panels for Systems including:
- Motor Controls
- Motion Control
- Temperature Control
- Man/Machine Interface
- Pneumatics
- Pressure Sensors
- Photocells
- Proximity Detectors
- Limit Switches
- Test electrical equipment and parts for continuity, current, voltage, and resistance.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
- Diagnose malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components to locate the cause of a breakdown and correct the problem.
Responsibilities
· Adhere to all safety, quality, electrical, and procedural standards, regulations, and laws
· Follow documented manufacturing process controls to assure that machine functions as designed
Requirements
· Proficient with Ladder Logic.
· Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills.
· Experience with ohmmeters, voltmeters, and ammeters.
· Education, minimum of
- high school diploma with substantial technical experience or 2-year tech school in electronics and some experience.
Ability to:
- Use hand and power tools
- Climb Ladders;§ Lift / Carry 50lbs
- Stand on cement floor for 8 hours
- Work overtime if necessary
Bonus:
· Experience manufacturing equipment that combines many control requirements.
· Experience in Low Volume Modern Manufacturing Environment.
· Familiar with NEC, NEMA, JIC, and OSHA laws affecting OEMs.
· Familiar with the concepts of JIT, TQM, MRPII and WCM.
