Position Summary

The Assembly Supervisor leads the mechanical production team in a manner which will ensure both quality and quantity of production while meeting production schedules at the most favorable cost. The role requires strong technical and mechanical supervisory experience, personnel management, and cross-functional collaboration with the mechanical and electrical engineering teams to ensure flawless execution and delivery of custom test equipment.

This position reports to the Senior Operations Manager and directly manages 10-12 mechanical assemblers working multiple shifts.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the daily planning and coordination of production priorities as they align with the master schedule
  • Ensure compliance with all quality standards as prescribed by CCI or its customers
  • Observes and maintains compliance with government policies and regulations, ensuring product traceability and documentation requirements
  • Review and analyze production records, quality reports, etc. to evaluate results in relation to planned goals and make appropriate adjustments
  • Recommend measures to improve methods, performance, and quality of product or service, and suggests changes in working conditions to increase efficiency
  • Implement corrective action to improve cycle time, reduce WIP, minimize setup time and cut costs
  • Drive ECO integration and reduce scrap and rework costs
  • Establish and maintain high standards of housekeeping to facilitate production efficiency and enhance employee morale
  • Accountable to the care, maintenance, and protection of company property ensuring necessary equipment repairs and recommending new or replacement equipment as deemed necessary
  • Guarantee timely and accurate reporting of all required production, payroll, quality control data, etc.
  • Manage department operating budget, investigating and taking appropriate action regarding significant variances
  • Evaluate and select new personnel and provide leadership to ensure adequate orientation and training of assigned duties
  • Continuously evaluate work performance of assigned personnel, promptly addressing performance deficiencies
  • Commend and recognize improved or outstanding performance when warranted
  • Conduct effective performance reviews in accordance with established company practices
  • Make appropriate recommendations regarding salary adjustments, promotions, transfers, etc..

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated success leading diverse teams with strengths in team building, mentoring, and conflict resolution
  • Ability to develop and manage department budgets, schedules, and resource plans
  • Effective personnel and project management, including planning, organization, and documentation
  • Strong communication and organizational skills; able to interface with internal and external customers when required
  • Technical degree or equivalent experience in a electromechanical manufacturing environment
  • 5+ years of relevant experience, including a minimum of 3 years in a management role
  • Working knowledge of ERP systems and data collection
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and adaptively
  • Thrives in a dynamic environment focused on continuous growth and innovation
  • Willing to commit extra effort during peak project periods to meet deadlines
  • Committed to confidentiality and IP protection, especially when working with sensitive or regulated technologies
  • Familiarity with regulatory and quality compliance standards (e.g., ISO 9001, NIST 800-171).

  • Majority of time spent on site in standard office working conditions

The salary range is $63,000 to $79,000 per year. The hiring manager will determine the final starting salary (within the salary range) based on the successful applicant's qualifications.

Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without needing sponsorship for an employment visa (e.g., H1B status).

Compensation includes base salary and performance-based annual bonuses. Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, term life insurance, short-term and long-term disability, and retirement programs. Paid leave includes paid time off and holiday pay.
