Summary:
Performs Tig (Aluminum/Stainless steel) welding of structural metals in accordance with American Welding Society standards and specific work instructions regarding product construction
Essential Functions:
- Use engineering drawings to assemble HVAC units/sub-assemblies.
- May be required to perform simple wire connections, per drawings, etc.
- MIG and TIG welding for galvanized and stainless-steel applications.
- Demonstrate ability to use an assortment of hand/power tools.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Complete unit paperwork and Quality Control (QC) checklist.
- Reporting of defective equipment to Supervisor.
- Keeps equipment and work area clean and orderly.
- Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
- Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.
Safety Responsibilities:
- Gain knowledge of applicable health and safety legislation as well as plant safety rules to perform duties safely and in compliance with all KCC rules and regulations.
- Participate in toolbox talks & monthly training.
- Take every reasonable precaution for the protection of your coworkers.
- Take immediate action to address unsafe acts or conditions and report issues to management.
- Assist in accident investigations (as needed) to identify the root cause in a timely manner.
- Complete accident and incident reports (near miss) in a timely manner.

- Education & Experience:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or Equivalent
Physical Demands:
- Ability to lift 50 lbs.
- Requires bending, stooping, and standing.
- Must be able to stand from six (6) to eight (8) hours per day. (Overtime may extend time period.)
- Good visual and spatial perception.
- Follow established safety policies including, but not limited to, mobile equipment, PPE, emergency response, HAZCOM, first-aid response, etc
