This position is responsible for operating and doing light maintenance of sorters. At other times, this position will be task with some of the following: painting, installing guard rails, patching holes in drywall, basic plumbing, replacing ceiling tiles, replacing light bulb and ballast, hanging pictures and dry erase boards, and other general maintenance duties.

The Sorter Operator position is located in Olive Branch, MS.

Youll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

  • Monitor sorter operation and function, maintain and perform standard light repairs and maintenance
  • Assess and resolve a wide array of maintenance issues on-site
  • Perform some light preventative maintenance on personal, as well as company owned tools and equipment
  • Document facilities maintenance requirements and maintain appropriate records for work performed or needed

  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • At least 1 year of experience in transferable skills
  • Knowledge and experience to safely operate a wide array of hand tools
  • Excellent Customer Service skills with the ability to work independently, with flexibility, and self-reliance
  • Ability to perform under pressure, with strong organizational and time management skills
  • Perform other duties as assigned

  • Able to bend, reach, squat, and climb stairs/ladder
  • Ability to work at heights and unusual positions
  • Able to safely operate all hand tools
  • Able to lift up to 75 pounds on a regular basis
  • Able to operate powered industrial equipment including forklifts, pallet-jacks, and handcarts
  • Must be able to tolerate an environment with exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust and work around moving equipment – often while working in uncomfortable positions
  • Dexterity in eye/hand coordination, feet (foot pedals) manual (picking, pinching, holding, grasping), and wrist motion (repetitive flexion/rotation)
  • Working conditions may include small spaces, dust, fumes/odors, hot/cold temperatures, inside/outside noise, vibration, standing on concrete for long hours and wet or uneven surfaces
  • Occasionally exposed to work that requires repetitive motion. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate
  • Comfortable with walking/standing 100% of the day
