Millwright Manager
Location: Lumberton, TX
Salary Range: Up to $60.00 per hour, depending on qualifications
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8am to 5pm at Lumberton office when no work is underway; schedule may vary based on project work
Travel: Potential travel outside of a 60-mile radius; up to 60% depending on workload
Per Diem: Available when assigned to projects, contingent upon project allowances
Experience: 10-year minimum experience as a manager
Job Description:
The Millwright Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing millwright operations within an industrial or construction setting. This position demands technical expertise in industrial machinery and mechanical systems, coupled with leadership and management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and supervise millwright crews: Manage a team by assigning tasks, scheduling work, ensuring productivity, and creating a positive work environment.
- Project coordination and execution: Oversee planning, scheduling, installation, maintenance, and repair projects related to industrial machinery. Ensure timely, safe, and budget-conscious completion of projects.
- Technical guidance and expertise: Provide technical support, troubleshoot complex mechanical issues, and ensure adherence to engineering specifications and quality standards.
- Safety compliance and enforcement: Implement safety regulations, conduct inspections, and ensure proper use of PPE and tools.
- Collaboration and communication: Work with departments such as engineering and operations to coordinate efficient resource allocation.
- Documentation and reporting: Maintain records of work performed and materials used for reporting and analysis.
- Training and mentorship: Train and mentor junior millwrights and apprentices.
Essential Qualifications:
- Experience: 10+ years as a millwright, with supervisory or leadership experience.
- Technical expertise: Knowledge of millwright processes including alignment techniques, rigging, welding, and fabrication.
- Mechanical aptitude: Understanding of mechanical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical components.
- Blueprint interpretation: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and manuals.
- Safety knowledge: Understanding of safety regulations including OSHA standards.

Educational & Certification Requirements:
- High School Diploma or GED (minimum); apprenticeship or technical training preferred

- Physically demanding, requiring heavy lifting and working in various conditions
