Industrial Painter**
**Job Description**
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Painter to join our team. This role involves handling products safely, preparing surfaces for painting, inspecting parts, mixing paints, and maintaining equipment. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality finishes and adhere to safety standards.
**Responsibilities**
+ Hang and handle products safely using various hooks and carts for the painting process.
+ Clean and prepare part surfaces according to specifications.
+ Inspect parts prior to painting for repairs, sanding, or bodywork.
+ Mask parts and plug holes to prevent overspray, following tight tolerance notes.
+ Mix paint, catalyst, reducers, and additives per specifications.
+ Adjust paint and process parameters based on atmospheric conditions to achieve desired quality.
+ Perform paint touch-ups on completed assemblies.
+ Inspect parts for defects and repair or repaint as needed.
+ Conduct preventive maintenance on painting and mixing equipment, booths, and filtration.
+ Manage time effectively to ensure on-time project delivery and complete labor reports accurately.
+ Adhere to safety standards and procedures, including using designated Personal Protective Equipment.
+ Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
**Essential Skills**
+ Experience with spray guns and paint prep.
+ Knowledge of industrial painting processes.
+ Competency in operating paint booths.
+ Proficiency in wet paint application.
**Additional Skills & Qualifications**
+ 3+ years of experience in wet spray painting.
+ Ability to work on platforms 20ft high and 70ft long, with accommodations if uncomfortable.

**Work Environment**
Work on the first shift from 5:30 AM Monday to Thursday with a 30-minute lunch break. Voluntary overtime may be available on Fridays or Saturdays, with potential for 10 hours. Involuntary overtime, communicated on Mondays, may occur on Fridays or Saturdays. The facility is very clean and well-lit, using Milwaukee tools, and assemblers work in groups of 2-6.
**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $22.50 - $23.50/hr.
