POSITION SUMMARY:

Stay Porter is seeking a skilled and dependable Handyman/Maintenance Technician to join our team in Flagstaff, AZ. In this hands-on role, you'll help keep our vacation rental homes in excellent condition by handling a variety of tasks, including basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and appliance repairs. You'll conduct property walkthroughs after guest check-outs, document any damages, and ensure HVAC filters are replaced regularly to keep systems running efficiently. We're looking for someone with a strong work ethic, broad home repair experience, and the ability to work independently while maintaining clear communication with our team. Whether you're responding to maintenance requests, completing light preventative work, or flagging recurring issues, you'll play a key role in making sure our homes are safe, functional, and guest-ready.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• General repairs (doors, locks, windows, trim, flooring)
• Basic plumbing (unclog drains, replace faucets, fix leaks)
• Basic electrical (replace outlets/switches, light fixtures, troubleshoot issues)
• Appliance diagnostics and light repairs (washer/dryer, fridge, oven, etc.)
• Furniture assembly, repair, and placement
• Wall patching, drywall repair, touch-up painting
• Hanging art, mirrors, shelves, curtain rods, blinds, etc.
• Exterior maintenance (light landscaping, power washing, gutter cleaning)
• Trash and junk removal, hauling broken items
• Light pest control prevention (sealing, traps)
• Smart lock and thermostat troubleshooting
• Minor tile, grout, and caulking work (kitchens and bathrooms)
• Emergency response for urgent repair issues (on-call availability preferred)

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1 year of professional experience as a handyman, property maintenance tech, or similar
• Broad range of home repair skills
• Must have own tools and reliable transportation
• Ability to respond quickly to service calls (same-day or next-day)
• Self-motivated, organized, and respectful of occupied or guest-ready homes
• Clear communicator; able to report issues and document work

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:

Hourly Rate: $24.00 - $27.00
