Description
Position Summary:
The Master Electrician Qualifier / Safety Manager is responsible for ensuring all electrical work complies with state and local codes and regulations while leading and managing the organization's safety programs. This role serves as the company's qualifying license holder for permitting purposes and ensures all projects meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Serve as the company's designated license holder for electrical permits and regulatory compliance.
Work with Executive Leadership to strategically acquire electrical and low voltage licenses nationally.
Oversee and inspect electrical installations for compliance with NEC, state, and local codes.
Provide technical guidance and mentorship to electricians and apprentices.
Ensure electrical work is completed per design specifications and timelines.
Coordinate with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) during inspections.
Maintain current licensing and stay informed on code changes.
Assist with bid preparation and review electrical drawings and specifications.
Develop, implement, and manage the company's occupational health and safety program.
Conduct regular site safety inspections, audits, and risk assessments.
Ensure compliance with OSHA, NFPA 70E, and other safety standards.
Lead safety meetings, toolbox talks, and employee training sessions.
Investigate accidents and implement corrective actions.
Maintain accurate safety records and promote a proactive safety culture.
Requirements
Qualifications:
Valid Arkansas Master Electrician License.
7-10 years of electrical experience, including supervisory roles.
OSHA 30-hour certification (required); CSP, CHST, or similar (preferred).
Thorough understanding of NEC, OSHA, NFPA 70E, and local safety regulations.
Experience with permitting and acting as a qualifying party for a licensed contractor.
Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in project documentation and safety reporting systems.
