We're seeking team members who enjoy machine operations and an industrial setting. Do you love working with your hands? Now seeking production workers to operate machines and other equipment in order to process material for our Aerospace parts.
What You'll Be Doing
Perform a variety of duties using a thorough knowledge of tasks to include operation of equipment to process material as specified by work order and specific blueprints and diagrams of the aerospace part. See attached description for details.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Possesses computer skills in order to document inventory changes and time in labor tracking program.
Follows verbal and written work instructions and procedures specific to job orders (i.e. routers, travelers) Retains knowledge of numerous part numbers and specifications.
Operates equipment or performs processes using efficient procedures to ensure meeting production standards, (i.e. Assembly, Adjusting, Packing, Bending, Piercing, Deburring, Sawing, Sorting, Straightening, Reworking, Buffing, Load jigs, Helping other operators, Loading and unloading parts from lines or machines i.e. use crane to move material from degrease tank to racks, operate and maintain aging, degreaser, or other secondary equipment per standards with authorized training)
May set up tools, gages and equipment to make adjustments for meeting part specifications. Performs accurate fitting, adjusting, assembling straightening or packing parts.
Uses necessary measuring tools to ensure required quality standards are met and performs quality checks per requirements.
Keeps all required records. Maintains all traceability of product recording written data to work order. Processes paperwork to meet customer specific requirements for producing, assembly or packing parts.
Seeks assistance of lead persons to make necessary adjustments to machinery and equipment.
Communicates with team members on daily material process flow, to include safety and continuous improvement projects. Participates in Continuous Improvement Team
Safely moves product and long tools through work cell by hand or carts. Maintains a clean, safe work area by practicing basic shop housekeeping. Follows safety policy, i.e. Safety procedures, OSHA requirements, PPE requirements.
Earning potential: $20.50 - $22/hr.
Hours/Shifts: Currently seeking 1st shift. 5:00AM - 3:30PM Monday to Thursday and overtime as needed.
Qualifications
At least 3 months' experience related to Aerospace facility or related environment.
Setting up/running equipment
Performing quality inspections on parts produced
Strong Attention to Detail
Working knowledge of manufacturing software or experience learning and using computer software
Ability to lift up to 25 lbs frequently and 50 lbs occasionally
US Person as defined by ITAR/EAR
Preferred:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Blueprint Reading experience
Welding experience
Aerospace experience
