Business Development Manager

Territory: Hartford & New Haven, CT

Our client is seeking a dynamic Business Development Manager to drive growth by securing strategic contracts with multi-family and multi-tenant property owners, enabling expansion of our wired and wireless telecommunications services.

Business Development Manager Responsibilities

Strategic Business Development:

  • Secure Premise Access Licenses and Marketing Agreements with multi-family communities and multi-tenant properties
  • Negotiate long-term cooperative marketing deals for wired/wireless services on exclusive or bulk contract basis
  • Drive top-line revenue growth through property penetration and customer acquisition strategies
  • Coordinate with Telecommunication Account Management and Network teams to secure license agreements for equipment placement

Client Relationship Management:

  • Initiate face-to-face contact with high-value property owners, builders, and developers of multi-dwelling units
  • Conduct comprehensive needs analysis to identify prospect pain points and present tailored solutions
  • Build and cultivate prospect relationships through strategic communications and consistent follow-up
  • Establish Telecommunication as the preferred telecommunications provider through consultative selling approach

Sales Operations & Analysis:

  • Develop new business via telephone, email, and mass communication channels
  • Manage sales database ensuring accurate logging of communications and prospect information
  • Prepare and analyze sales pipeline reports and dashboards to meet unit targets consistently
  • Support both local and regional business development initiatives across assigned territory
Business Development Manager Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or 4+ years of relevant work experience
  • 4+ years of B2B sales experience with proven track record
  • Knowledge of fiber and wireless telecommunications technologies
  • Valid driver's license with reliable personal transportation
  • Willingness to travel up to 75% within local market
  • Database user proficiency and Google Suite expertise

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing sales funnel in objective-based environment
  • Strong consulting skills including prospecting, sales planning, and value-based selling
  • Demonstrated influence skills with internal and external stakeholders
  • Knowledge of multi-family real estate environment and property development
