SUMMARY OF PRIMARY FUNCTION

We are seeking a highly experienced and skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead our engineering efforts. With 10+ years of experience in the field, the ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of both mechanical & electrical engineering principles, a track record of solving complex engineering problems, and the leadership qualities necessary to mentor junior Engineers.

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design and develop components using molding, sheet metal, and machining techniques.

  • Conduct simulations, testing, and validation of mechanical, and electromechanical components, equipment, and machinery to ensure optimal performance and reliability.

  • Apply expert knowledge of mechanics, and material properties to innovate and improve product designs.

  • Lead the design and development of mechanical systems and components for tint dispensing and mixing equipment.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Software & Electrical Engineers, manufacturing, and quality assurance, to integrate new technologies and methods.

  • Mentor and guide junior engineers, sharing knowledge and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

  • Stay abreast of industry trends and advancements, applying this knowledge to drive innovation within the company.

  • Provide technical leadership in critical decision-making processes and problem-solving activities.

  • Prepare and present reports and findings to senior management, making recommendations for future projects or improvements.

  • Play a pivotal role in the strategic planning of engineering projects, with the potential to progress into management roles overseeing departmental objectives and operations.

EXPERIENCE, EDUCATION LEVEL, SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE, TRAINING, LICENSES AND/OR CERTIFICATIONS

  • Bachelors degree required in mechanical engineering or a related field (Masters degree a plus)
  • 10+ years of experience in electro-mechanical engineering, with a proven track record of innovation and project management.
  • Experience in the design and development of systems involving fluid movement/dispensing.
  • Experience with stepper motors and their integration into mechanical systems.
  • Strong leadership skills and experience in leading engineering teams.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of CAD software, and mechanical systems.
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
  • A passion for sustainability and a commitment to ethical engineering practices.

Total Rewards

The compensation range for this position is $110,000.00 - $165,000.00, depending on experience. This position may be eligible for performance based bonus plan.
