Summary: ASRC Federal Field Services provides logistical support at the Federal Law Enforcement Training Center in North Charleston (FLETC Federal Complex off Spruill Avenue). We are looking for a Maintenance Electrician to join our team.Description:
- Install, inspect, maintain , and repair electrical wiring, fixtures, equipment, and systems.
- Diagnose malfunctioning electrical systems, equipment, and components using testing tools.
- Ability to complete all phases of electrical work and complex projects with minimal or no supervision.
- Estimate material, time needed to complete, equipment needed for various electrical jobs from written plans, oral request, interpret and accomplish tasks originating from blueprints, wiring diagrams, schematics, and manufacturer installation manuals.
- Complete various preventative maintenance tasks including but not limited to motors, exhaust fans, emergency lighting, and distribution panels.
- Assemble, install, test, repair and maintain electrical wiring including but not limited to buildings, rooms, outdoor pole lighting, landscape lighting, electrical equipment, appliances, and fixtures.
- Ability to work with voltages up to 480 volts, work off and operational lifts, knowledge of lockout\tag out procedures.
- Ensure work complies with National Electrical Code (NEC).
- Embrace teamwork culture by working with other facilities maintenance trades to accomplish mission objectives as needed.
- Other maintenance related duties as assigned.
Requirements:
- Must have a minimum of 2 years' experience as an electrician working with control systems and relays.
- High School Diploma/GED preferred.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- Must be able to read, write, speak, and understand English.
- Must have a valid driver's license and be able to operate motor vehicle.
- Must be able to lift 30 lbs. unassisted.
- Must be able to climb ladders, work at heights, and in confined spaces.
- Must be able to pass a background investigation and pass a physical exam.
- Must have availability Monday -Friday, 7am – 4pm, with occasional altered/extended shifts and weekends may be required at times.
