About the Role

We are seeking a Senior Workato Consultant to support a strategic integration modernization project for our US-based healthcare customer. The engagement involves migrating critical business processes from Mulesoft to Workato, and requires an expert who can oversee and validate the Workato implementation being executed by the platform's professional services team.

The ideal candidate will have experience in integration architecture, a strong understanding of Mulesoft's DSL (XML-based flow definitions), and the ability to translate that logic into Workato recipes (Workato's visual DSL). Prior experience with Mulesoft-to-Workato migrations is highly must.

Key Responsibilities

• Work alongside the customer's internal integration lead to review and validate Workato design and implementation delivered by external professional services
• Serve as a technical and strategic advisor, bringing hands-on experience with both Mulesoft and Workato platforms
• Interpret and extract business logic embedded in Mulesoft DSL (flows, DataWeave scripts, etc.)
• Define migration strategy and guide translation into Workato recipes, leveraging Workato's native formula mode, logic operators, and callable recipes
• Explore or validate the use of GenAI or AI-based tooling to accelerate migration by parsing Mulesoft logic and generating Workato structures
• Identify integration patterns, automation opportunities, and best practices for scalable implementation
• Collaborate with global engineering and delivery teams to ensure timely execution

Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years in integration engineering or solution architecture roles
• 3+ years of hands-on Workato experience, including building recipes, managing connectors, and automation logic
• Deep familiarity with Mulesoft's DSL and DataWeave scripting language
• Strong understanding of Workato's DSL-equivalent, including triggers, conditional logic, formulas, and callable recipes
• Experience with API-led integration design and system-to-system workflows
• Prior experience leading or contributing to migration from Mulesoft to Workato (or similar platforms)
• Ability to evaluate code quality, assess risks, and suggest improvements in third-party implementations

Nice to Have

• Experience with GenAI tools to analyze and transform integration logic
• Workato Certifications (e.g., Automation Pro II or Architect)
• Background in healthcare integrations or HIPAA-compliant environments

Familiarity with scripting languages like JavaScript or Python for logic extensions
