Sr Project Manager

About the role Our client is an award-winning Chicagoland-based commercial general contractor that is routinely voted a top place to work in Chicago. They are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead and manage commercial construction projects throughout Chicago and nationwide. Ground-up commercial project experience with budgets from $5M $50M+ is required, with retail, restaurant, education, and automotive project experience preferred. Roles & Responsibilities: Oversee all phases of construction projects from pre-construction through project closeout, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and forecasts, while proactively identifying and mitigating potential risks and issues Lead project teams, including project managers, superintendents, subcontractors, and support staff, fostering collaboration and effective communication Establish and maintain relationships with clients, architects, engineers, and other key stakeholders, ensuring expectations are met and exceeded Monitor project performance, conduct regular site visits, and implement corrective actions as needed to maintain project goals Mentor and develop team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth Qualifications: 7-10+ years of experience in commercial construction project management, with a history of successfully leading large-scale projects Ground up commercial construction projects with budgets up to $50M Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills Salary & Benefits The salary range for this role is $120,000 $160,000 depending on experience.
