Heavy Equipment Operator

MPS Group, Inc., is seeking a Heavy Equipment Operator to join our team at the Cleveland Cliffs Facility located in Middletown, OH. This individual will be responsible for general laborer duties that include loading and unloading equipment, setup and breakdown equipment, line trailers, drive trucks, operate equipment, or any other systems and processes for the job, as well as performing daily manual labor in an industrial setting as defined below.

Shift Details:

Shift: 3rd Shift

Schedule: Monday - Sunday, 4:00 p.m. - 4:00 a.m.

Responsibilities and Job Duties:

• Performs inspection of yard truck(s) and trailers.
• Performs hooking and unhooking of tractors.
• Evaluates tarps on trailers.
• Places liners inside trailers.
• Operates excavator and wheeled loader.
• Performs load verification at each terminal.
• Documents of diver / spotter / operator communication at each terminal.
• Switches out/re-spotting of trailers under chutes at multiple terminals inside Cleveland Cliffs.

Requirements and Qualifications:

• Six months experience operating heavy equipment.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• OSHA 10 certification is mandatory prior to hire (may obtain through company sponsored program).
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to understand basic equipment operating instructions, safe work practices, commercial and industrial process.
• Must be able to pass a background check.
• Must be able to pass a drug test and physical.
