Electrical Design Engineer (2-4 years experience)

Sager Electronics is seeking an Electrical Design Engineer to join our dynamic Value-Added Solutions team. In this role, you ll lead the design and development of custom power, thermal, industrial, and battery assemblies that meet our customers unique specifications. You ll take projects from concept to production, working cross-functionally with mechanical, structural, and manufacturing teams.

Location Requirement: This position is located in Lewisville, Texas, and candidates must be available to work on-site.

What You ll Be Doing

Design and develop custom electrical systems for power, thermal and battery applications

Perform feasibility, cost, performance, and reliability analyses

Research components and design electrical circuits and integrated systems

Generate engineering documentation-concept sketches, layouts, and specifications

Drive new product development, product improvement, and production support

Integrate cutting-edge technologies to improve reliability and reduce cost

Collaborate with internal engineering teams and external stakeholders

Ensure compliance with quality and documentation standards

Support end-of-line testing systems (hardware/software integration)

Review and approve Engineering Change Orders (ECOs)

Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a high-performance team culture

What You Bring to the Table

Bachelor s degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent

2-4 years of hands-on experience in PCBA design (Schematics and Layout)

Hands-on experience in a similar electrical engineering role

Strong foundation in electrical engineering principles and methodologies

Proficiency with electrical design software (PADs preferred)

Experience working with TI battery fuel gauge chipsets and tools

Skilled in electronics rework, soldering, and use of lab/test equipment:

Oscilloscopes, power supplies, thermal chambers, battery cycling gear, etc.

Experience with end-of-line testing system development

Knowledge of analog circuit design, ultrasonic and resistance welding, and thermal management techniques

Strong analytical, creative, and problem-solving skills

Collaborative, detail-oriented, and eager to innovate
