We are seeking a skilled Senior Facilities Architect licensed professional who leads and manages architectural projects from design to completion, ensuring they meet both aesthetic and functional requirements while adhering to building codes and regulations. They often lead teams, manage timelines and budgets, and act as the main point of contact for clients. With a strong expertise in planning, managing, and optimizing all aspects of the organization's facilities function. This includes ensuring that facility assets, office spaces, and infrastructure support business goals effectively, efficiently, and in compliance with applicable codes and standards. The role will guide construction projects, renovations, leasing, inspections, and maintenance operations across all corporate locations.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Design Development: Creating innovative architectural designs that meet project requirements and incorporating sustainable practices.
- Project Management: Managing project timelines, budgets, and coordinating with various stakeholders.
- Client Interaction: Gathering feedback and incorporating it into the design process.
- Team Leadership: Guiding and mentoring junior architects and interns.
- Construction Administration: Overseeing the construction phase, ensuring designs are implemented correctly, and addressing any issues that arise.
- Technical Expertise: Providing technical guidance and solutions to the project team and acting as a resource for building codes and construction practices.
- Quality Control: Ensuring the final design complies with building codes and other relevant legislation.
Basic Qualifications
- TS/SCI w/ Poly Clearance is required
- Bachelor's degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field. Experience can be considered in lieu of a degree.
- 1215 years of relevant experience OR a Master's degree with 1013 years of experience.
- Proven track record managing multi-site facilities operations in a complex corporate environment.
- Deep knowledge of building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical), maintenance, and construction processes.
- Experience overseeing vendor and contract management.
- Strong understanding of building codes, safety standards, and regulatory compliance.
- Advanced project management and budgeting skills.
- Excellent communication skills, including experience presenting to executive leadership.
- Strong leadership capabilities and experience managing cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- Certification in Facilities Management (e.g., IFMA CFM, FMP, or BOMA RPA).
- Experience with real estate portfolio management and space planning software (e.g., AutoCAD, CAFM).
- Familiarity with sustainability and energy efficiency programs.
- Background in managing large capital projects or office redesigns.
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvements and cost optimization.
- Experience in a government contracting or highly regulated industry (e.g., aerospace, defense, healthcare).
