Role Summary:

Business Project Manager Project Governance & Planning

Engagement Period: 6 months

We are seeking an experienced Business Project Manager to lead the development of a comprehensive project governance framework and a detailed project plan for key strategic initiatives including Wellness and Claim Strategy (70% / 30% allocation respectively) within the Long-Term Care organization. This role requires a structured thinker with a strong background in project management methodologies, stakeholder engagement, governance best practices as well as business operations experience.

The consultant will work closely with executive sponsors, project leads, cross-functional teams, and key stakeholders to define governance structures, decision-making processes, reporting mechanisms, and risk management protocols. Additionally, they will be responsible for creating a robust, actionable project plan that includes timelines, milestones, resource allocation, and dependencies.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and implement a tailored project governance framework aligned with organizational goals.

Develop a detailed, end-to-end project plan including scope, schedule, budget, and resource planning.

Facilitate stakeholder workshops to gather requirements and ensure alignment.

Define roles, responsibilities, and escalation paths within the governance model.

Establish reporting structures, KPIs, and communication plans.

Identify and mitigate project risks and issues proactively.

Provide ongoing guidance and support to ensure successful project execution and governance adherence.

Qualifications:

Proven experience in project management consulting, preferably in complex, cross-functional and cross-organizational environments.

Strong knowledge of project governance principles and frameworks.

Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Proficiency in project planning.

PMP, or similar certification preferred.

Business operations experience.

Strong Jira and Agile experience

This BPM is supporting the Long Term Care org of the client

Working on a long term, strategic initiative looking to bring wellness solutions to long term care insurers to bend the claims cost curve. The goal is for people to Live a longer, healthier life.

They have a program that is approved to start running and they're in the program design phase that will quickly turn to execution phase. Want first wellness program deployed before end of year. Dont have super strong expertise with formal project management currently.

Looking for a strong PM with strong business operations experience. While some delivery will include technology aspects in terms of enhanced functionality, a lot of this is focused on operations process design, workflows and engagement. They need someone who can navigate through various stakeholder requirements and help take those complex, design ideas from business leads to actionable project plans and help but build a framework to help govern the project and overall delivery of various moving pieces.

Insurance background - not required. More so somebody with business and operations.

Building programs to run and repeat in the future- they need this person to set up framework to give expertise to teams to rinse and repeat in the future

Want someone senior , ideally 10 years experience.

Certs not required but a plus

Jira is key tool for managing projects. This is a required skill.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
