Construction Manager

Job Description

The primary role of a Construction Manager is to plan, direct, and coordinate activities within engineering, research and development, financial systems, and product roll-out domains. This position requires effective coordination of projects, making detailed plans to achieve goals, and overseeing the integration of technical activities.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate projects by making detailed plans to accomplish goals and directing the integration of technical activities.
  • Present and explain proposals, reports, and findings to clients.
  • Recruit employees, assign, direct, and evaluate their work while overseeing staff competence development.
  • Analyze technology, resource needs, and market demand to plan and assess the feasibility of projects.
  • Confer with management, production, and marketing staff to discuss project specifications and procedures.
  • Review, recommend, or approve contracts and cost estimates.
Essential Skills
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage one's time efficiently.
  • Knowledge of production processes, quality control, costs, and techniques for effective manufacturing and distribution of goods.
  • Understanding of business and management principles related to strategic planning, resource allocation, and production methods.
  • Proficiency in computer software such as MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS Project, Visio.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or a related field.
  • Mechanical and/or Controls experience.
  • Previous Data Center or Hyperscale Build Experience preferred.
  • PMI or PMP certification preferred.
  • 10 years of experience in hyperscale datacenter, datacenter construction, mechanical construction.
  • Decades of experience in mechanical work such as duct work, plumbing, piping, and controls.
  • Comfortable with computer usage.
Work Environment

The work environment involves engaging in safety, quality, scheduling, and cost performance indicators. This role requires a mechanical and controls background , with extensive experience in duct work, plumbing, and piping. Candidates should be comfortable working with computers to efficiently manage the construction process.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $75.00/hr.
