Night Shift

Wages starting at $25/hr. for entry level candidates. This pay rate includes a $23.00/ per hour base rate and a $2.00 per hour shift differential. Overall compensation will be determined based on the candidate's experience level and skill set.

Arch Materials is an underground limestone mine/quarry seeking a night shift Heavy Equipment Operator for our operation located in Batavia, OH. The successful candidate for this role will have an uncompromising emphasis on safety excellence, be a self-starter and will have responsibilities that include but are not limited to:

• Operate a variety of heavy equipment and machinery in a rock quarry including dozer, excavator, front end loader, dredge, haul truck, and general work around the quarry operation.
• Perform daily pre and post inspections with appropriate documentation in compliance with company policies.
• Perform servicing and maintenance of equipment as trained and directed by management.
• Operate equipment with a high degree of competency, skill, and proficiency.
• Properly follow all company policies and OSHA / MSHA / environmental regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

Required Qualifications:

• Individual must be dedicated to operating safely at all times
• Individual must be willing to perform any task required at quarry
• Must be able to identify and alert management to maintenance issues with equipment
• Ability to compete pre-operation inspection paperwork
• Experience operating heavy equipment
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekend when necessary
• Team player attitude
• Must pass pre-employment drug screening
