Sedron Technologies is hiring a talented Sourcing and Contract Manager to work remotely in the United States!

Founded in 2014 and headquartered in the Pacific Northwest, Sedron designs, manufactures, installs, and operates advanced water and waste upcycling technologies. With a focus on transforming the paradigm from waste processing to resource recovery, Sedron works with agricultural, municipal, and industrial customers to process their “waste” into climate-smart commodities through environmentally and financially sustainable methods.

The Sourcing and Contract Manger is responsible for developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring the timely and cost-effective acquisition of goods and services for our capital projects. This role includes overseeing the competitive bidding process for design-build, general contractors and critical vendors, administering contracts, negotiating terms, analyzing market trends, and collaborating with internal teams to align sourcing activities with business objectives.

Because we design, build, commission, and operate our technologies, we are looking for individuals who can meet the following essential functions of the position:

  • Develop and execute procurement strategies to optimize cost, quality, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage the competitive bidding process for critical vendors, design-build and general contractors, including preparing and issuing Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Qualifications (RFQs), and Invitations to Bid (ITBs).
  • Evaluate bids, ensuring alignment with project specifications, budgets, and timelines.
  • Conduct bid analysis, assess contractor qualifications, and recommend selections based on cost, quality, experience, and compliance with project requirements.
  • Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors, design-build firms, and general contractors to secure favorable agreements.
  • Administer contracts, including drafting, reviewing, and executing contract documents, ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory, and organizational requirements.
  • Monitor contract performance, track deliverables, manage change orders, and resolve disputes or claims with suppliers and contractors.
  • Ensure proper documentation, record-keeping, and reporting for all contracts, including adherence to audit and compliance standards.
  • Manage supplier and contractor relationships, ensuring performance meets contractual standards and project deliverables.
  • Monitor market trends, pricing, and supply chain risks to inform sourcing, bidding, and contract decisions.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g., project management, engineering, finance, legal) to forecast demand, define project scopes, and ensure supply chain continuity.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, legal requirements, ethical sourcing standards, and construction-specific regulations.
  • Analyze procurement, bidding, and contract data to identify cost-saving opportunities and improve processes.
  • Oversee purchase orders, inventory management, and performance evaluations for suppliers and contractors.
  • Lead or support cross-functional teams in strategic sourcing, competitive bidding, and contract administration projects.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, business administration, construction management, or a related field (advanced degree or certifications like CPSM, CIPS, PMP, or CCM preferred).
  • 8+ years of experience working on capital projects for procurement, sourcing, or supply chain management, with at least 2 years managing competitive bidding processes for design-build or general contractors and contract administration
  • Strong negotiation, analytical, contract drafting, and vendor/contractor management skills.
  • In-depth knowledge of contract management, competitive bidding, market analysis, and construction industry standards.
  • Familiarity with contract law, risk management, and dispute resolution processes.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with stakeholders, including architects, engineers, contractors, and legal teams.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION

• Compensation range for this role is between $120,000 - $150,000
• The range provided is Sedron’s estimate of the base compensation for this role. Actual amount offered will be based on job-related and non-discriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
• Discretionary bonus
• Travel up to 10%
