Position Summary:

The Employee Benefits Project Manager is responsible for translating client and consultant strategies into actionable plans and energizing stakeholders throughout execution. The core responsibilities of this role include (1) developing process to organize client deliverables, (2) coordinating proactive delivery across all stakeholders (e.g. carrier, Financial Analyst, Service Manager, Client Specialist, etc.), and (3) ensuring accountability to organizational standards.

Success in this role requires macro planning, task coordination, and commitment to high standard of excellence. This role requires technical insurance expertise, intellectual curiosity, collaborative spirit and the ability to break down barriers and pivot in pursuit of achieving results.

Core Responsibilities

Client Project Management

Goal: Create Exceptional Client Experience & Consulting Capacity

  • Manage progress against annual client timelines, escalations and key client initiatives - includes building Monday.com projects, tracking updates and communicating progress to stakeholders

  • Coordinate meeting deliverables and logistics - includes follow up to individuals contributing to the meeting, initial review of contributed materials for accuracy & relevance

  • Create and deliver executive dashboards - includes executive-level briefing against stated priorities and goals

  • Support in situations requiring an additional level of project management (e.g. complex or multi-line implementations, specialty practice projects, etc.)

Unit Operations (Multi-Consultant Book of Business)

Goal: Create efficiency and improve experience

  • Deliver scaled communication across Consultants, leadership and producers

  • Identify, recommend and coordinate opportunities for scaled client communication/education

  • Ensure delivery of broker compliance requirements - includes Broker Disclosure, 5500 completion, PCORI calculations, Medicare Part D determination/delivery

Organizational Standard Accountability

Goal: Ensure internal process and protocols are followed

  • Manage operational projects in accordance with organizational standards - includes new client onboarding, lost client process, consultant transitions, new contact onboarding, etc.

  • Improve data integrity (completeness & accuracy) across unit

  • Support client broker RFP/evaluation process

Other Duties as Assigned

As an additional technical expert and operational individual on the benefits team, various projects/priorities may come up throughout the year. Support could be internal or external.

Qualifications Required:

  • 4-year degree from an accredited University

  • Minimum of 5 years (preferably more) of experience driving large-scale projects to completion within health insurance industry context

  • Proven results working with executives and individuals at all levels within an organization.

  • Health and Life License required - can be obtained post-employment.

Department Account Management & Service

Required Experience: 5-7 years of relevant experience

Required Travel: Up to 25%

Required Education: Bachelor's degree (4-year degree)
