Operator Technician Job Description We are seeking a dedicated 2nd shift Operator Technician who is eager to grow into a Maintenance Technician role. As a Finish Technician, you will be responsible for setting up machines and responding to malfunctions within a specific department. This position involves troubleshooting, repairing to a certain extent, and collaborating with Maintenance Technicians to resolve complex issues. You will also guide other operators to prevent repetitive machine errors and oversee all equipment within the department. Responsibilities Set up finishing machines and ensure their optimal functioning. Troubleshoot and repair machine malfunctions to a certain extent before involving Maintenance Technicians. Partner with Maintenance Technicians to troubleshoot and repair complex issues. Educate and guide other operators to avoid repetitive machine errors. Monitor all equipment within the department to ensure smooth operations. Respond appropriately to radio calls with professional communication skills. Essential Skills Mechanical aptitude and basic understanding of electrical systems. Logical thinking with the ability to identify problems and devise solutions. Mechanical troubleshooting skills, including pumps, spray guns, hoses, belts, and brushes. Ability to work in high temperatures and maneuver a 300-pound stain barrel with provided technique. Additional Skills & Qualifications Basic electrical understanding and LOTO procedures. Mechanically inclined with a background in machine operation and setup. Customer service mindset with the ability to meet production needs and communicate technical issues. Why Work Here?
