### **Position Summary:**
The Lead Carpenter is responsible for executing and overseeing all on-site construction tasks related to residential remodeling projects. This includes structural and finish carpentry, job site supervision, team leadership, and coordination with project managers and subcontractors. The Lead Carpenter plays a key role in maintaining quality control, project timelines, and client satisfaction.
### **Daily Responsibilities:**
* Review construction drawings, project specifications, and daily objectives.
* Plan daily workflow and assign tasks to laborers and apprentices.
* Perform high-level carpentry tasks, including:
* Structural framing and layout
* Load-bearing modifications
* Window and door installation
* Cabinetry, trim, and detailed finish work
* Supervise and train field staff; ensure workmanship meets company standards.
* Communicate regularly with the project manager regarding schedule, progress, and any issues or changes.
* Maintain a safe, clean, and organized job site, ensuring tools and materials are stored securely.
* Enforce safety practices and personal protective equipment (PPE) use.

### **Qualifications:**
* Minimum 5 years of residential carpentry experience, including 2 years in a supervisory role.
* Proficient in blueprint reading, layout, and construction math.
* Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Extensive knowledge of framing, finish carpentry, and job site sequencing.
* Familiarity with local building codes and residential remodeling practices.
* Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
