CMM Operator - Precision Inspection Specialist Location: Englewood, Colorado Job Type: Contract About the Role Inspection is more than a checkpoint it's a core part of engineering excellence. We're seeking a Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) Operator who thrives on precision, collaboration, and solving complex dimensional challenges. What You'll Do Program and operate CMMs using Verisurf for first-article, in-process, and final inspections Create and debug inspection routines from3D CAD models and 2D prints Apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5)to real-world inspection scenarios Inspect tight-tolerance aerospace parts and assemblies Collaborate with machinists, engineers, and quality teams to resolve nonconformances Document inspection results and support customer-facing quality records Maintain and calibrate CMMs and metrology tools Contribute to root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives What You Bring Proven CMM experience in aerospace, defense, or high-precision manufacturing Expert-level Verisurf programming and operation Strong understanding of machining processes sand tight-tolerance inspection Proficiency in GD&T, blueprint reading, and CAD interpretation Skilled with hand tools: micrometers, indicators, height gages, etc. Familiarity with ISO 9001 / AS9100quality systems Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and quality-driven Strong communication and collaboration skills Bonus Skills Experience with other CMM platforms (e.g., PC-DMIS, Calypso, Zeiss) CNC machining or hands-on shop experience Passion for inspection as a craft, not just a task Why Join Us?
