Experienced Fabricator/ Welder for Ornamental Architectural Fab shop

We are a fun, small, and busy workshop situated on the bus line in St. Johns, with an immediate need for an experienced Metal Fabricator/Welder. We pride ourselves on fostering a positive community atmosphere where craftsmanship is valued, and every project is met with enthusiasm. The ideal candidate will possess:
- Proven experience in fabricating handrails and gates
- Strong problem-solving skills and creative critical thinking
- Excellent mathematical abilities, particularly in geometry
- Proficiency in MIG welding, especially short arc and some inner shield techniques
- Grinding and finishing skills that demonstrate an eye for cosmetic detail
- Ability to interpret and create cut lists and layouts from shop drawings
- Competence in using industry-standard tools such as bandsaws, ironworkers, and plasma cutters
- A valid driver's license and the ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Key responsibilities of the role include:
- Taking projects from initial layout through to finish and installation
- Fabricating architectural elements both onsite and in the workshop
- Producing high-quality, detailed work consistent with project specifications
- Collaborating with team members to ensure seamless project execution
- Creating and maintaining jigs and fixtures for accurate fabrication
