ABOUT THE CONSTRUCTION MANAGER
The primary responsibility of the Construction Manager is to manage new restaurant construction projects from start to finish ensuring projects are delivered on time, per scope, and on budget.
TO BE SUCCESSFUL YOU MUST
- Manage new restaurant construction projects from start to finish including site investigation due diligence, work letter and lease review, internal budgeting, defining schedules, bid and award of General Contractors, construction management, and cross-functional collaboration with operations.
- Collaborate with the design team on test fits, schematic design, design development, construction drawings, permitting, bidding, and construction administration.
- Manage third party architects and vendors ensuring company design requirements and deadlines are met.
- Create and maintain project schedules using our pipeline template.
- Own and manage Third Party Vendor relationships specific to Construction.
- Coordinate with the Director of Design and Real Estate Strategy Manager on new restaurant pipeline ensuring a seamless handoff from new deal, to design, to construction.
- Manage procurement of owner provided FF&E including inventory, invoicing, logistics, and deployment of found goods for restaurants.
- Oversee remodel projects in existing locations.
- Coordinate with Operations to ensure back of house, kitchen, and storage requirements are met.
- Coordinate with Facilities and Operations to help monitor ongoing needs of existing restaurants providing input where needed.
- Manage multiple projects at once.

Requirements
- 5+ years of construction management, specifically in restaurant and hospitality
- Track record of managing a high volume of restaurant construction projects at once
- Proficient in project planning including gantt charts
- Detail oriented
- Ability to provide detailed budget estimates including relevant site investigation
- Ability to manage detailed schedules, delivering projects on time
- Demonstrate desire and ability to work with a growth company
- Deep understanding of restaurant specific technical aspects including kitchen equipment
- Experience with existing restaurant conversions, remodels, refreshes and/or equipment upgrades is a bonus
- Excels in project planning and paying attention to details
- Passion for the hospitality industry
- Ability to identify top performers, develop great leaders, ensure high standards, and remove obstacles
- Ability to travel extensively when required
