Role Overview:
The Associate Electrical Engineer will support the development of advanced test automation systems and contribute to product development activities. This role is a key contributor in our electrical engineering team based out of Farmington lead design center. This role is ideal for early-career engineers eager to work in a collaborative, cross-functional environment involving electrical, software, and systems engineers and technicians. You will get hands-on exposure to electronic components, assemblies and elevator systems.

On a typical day you will:

  • Hands-on development of test automation systems based on requirements from electrical, software, and systems engineers.
  • Conduct root cause analysis to troubleshoot and resolve issues during the product development phase.
  • Fabricate or modify PCBAs to support prototyping, testing, and design iterations.
  • Create and maintain test automation scripts and tools to streamline validation workflows.
  • Run tests using dynamometers to validate motor drives under the guidance of senior engineers.
  • Use ECAD tools such as Cadence or Zuken E3 to develop and document electrical designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure test coverage and design quality.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in electrical engineering or a related discipline, which must be obtained by the role start date.
  • Strong foundation in electronics, circuit design, and debugging.
  • Familiarity with test automation, PCB fabrication, and electrical testing.
  • Basic scripting skills (e.g., Python, LabVIEW) for automation tasks.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Internship or academic project experience in test development or electronics prototyping.
  • Hands-on experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, power supplies, and soldering equipment.
